What's New on the 2020 Toyota Camry?

For the 2020 year, the Toyota Camry offers a new trim level - the TRD. This trim gives you a sportier version of the Camry. The other trim levels you can choose from are: L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. The 2020 Camry also sees the addition of Android Auto™ smartphone capability as standard. When it comes to the engine, you can choose a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque or a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque.

As far as features go, you'll appreciate the many technology features brought to the table such as an 8-inch touchscreen, a JBL sound system, wireless smartphone charging, Bluetooth®*, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more. To keep you safe, you gain automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, a rearview camera, a top-down parking camera system, Toyota Safety Sense, LED headlights, and many other driver safety aids. The Camry is comfortable, giving you power-adjustable seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and much more.

The History of the Camry

The Camry arrived in North America in 1983, sporting both hatchback and sedan body styles. Before a thorough redesign in 1992, the Camry was a much smaller vehicle, and would be considered a compact by today's size standards. That same year, a coupe version was released, and by 1997, the Camry had become the top-selling car in the U.S. The legacy continued in 2002, when the next generation of Camry rolled off the assembly line.

Toyota unveiled a new look for the Camry again in 2007, and the car has continued to evolve since then to keep up with driver desires and expectations. The Camry has always held its own even as the automotive market changed around it, and remains among the most popular midsized sedans on the road today.
